John Smith's No-Nonsense Raffle

It's an old campaign, but a good campaign.

How do you make a 'no-nonsense' sales promotion campaign? Simple. You get rid of gadgets, gizmos and gimmicks and have an old-style, yellow-ticketed raffle. 

Every time a customer buys a pint of John Smith's, they get a ticket and are entered into a national draw to win the grand prize of a pint of John Smith's (what else?).

The second prize was a Jaguar and third prize was a world cruise. Really.
