Lexus cars are lovely, but no-one wants to buy them. While working on the pitch, I spoke to the editor of a car magazine and asked him what the main problem is. He said that if you bought a Lexus, you'd be constantly justifying your purchase to your pals at the golf club.

What we did know is that they offer a fantastic mix of innovation, attention to the most ridiculous of details and astonishing after-sales service.
